- Bosch flat-blade wipers provides better wiping performance even in extreme weather conditions.
- Bosch utilizes automated manufacturing and rubber development technology to deliver efficient, quality, and durable wipers.
- “Made in Bosch” ensures consistent manufacturing standards and quality across all Bosch manufacturing facilities, worldwide.
- German technology keeps Asian vehicles moving too.
Changsha, China – Bosch, a global supplier of automotive technology and services, reinforces its lead in wiping technology across Asia Pacific with the introduction of flat-blade wiping technology. Designed without the traditional metal frame, flat-blade wiper technology ensures even distribution of pressure across the wiper blades, regardless of the shapes of windscreen.
“In 1999, Bosch developed the first flat-blade in the market, and this technology is now car manufacturers’ choice for an estimated 90% of new vehicles in Europe. The flat-blade technology trend has also started in Japan and we expect the same trend to reach Asia in the coming years,” said Ms. Wang Yufeng, Director of Sales and Marketing Services for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket in Asia Pacific Southeast.
Bosch has taken the benefits of flat-blade technology and built on it with an exclusive rubber formula. Drivers will notice longer durability, a reduction in noise and remarkable wiping performance when driving in extreme weather conditions.
Quality wiping performance with Bosch flat-blade wiper technology
For years, conventional wiper blades have been the standard. Bosch flat-blade wipers are innovated to be bracketless to deliver even distribution of pressure along the entire blade, making flat-blades wipe more efficiently.
“Poor driver visibility of the road can lead to unfavorable consequences. Up to 70 percent of road accidents occur due to bad visibility, largely attributed to inconsistent wiping quality,” said Yufeng. “The beauty of Bosch flat-blade wipers lies in its unrivaled wiping performance in all weather conditions and ease of installation, making one’s driving experience safer and enjoyable”.
The exclusive rubber formula used in Bosch flat-blade wipers is resistant to cracks and damages from long-term ozone and sunlight exposure. Even after 200,000 wipe cycles, it still performs almost as well as when it was first installed. The quick clip adaptor enables drivers to install wipers quickly without hassle.
Bosch flat-blade wipers are now available on e-commerce platforms such as Lazada for countries like Malaysia (http://www.lazada.com.my/bosch-automotive-aftermarket), Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand and Bosch Automotive Shop for Australia. The new Bosch Clear Advantage Wiper is now available at RM65 a pair on Lazada and major car accessory shops. The Bosch flat-blade wipers are also available through Bosch authorized dealers in Asia.
“Made in Bosch”: Consistent manufacturing standards worldwide
The Bosch automotive plant in Changsha replicates the manufacturing standards, equipment and processes of Bosch’s lead automotive plant for wipers in Tienen, Belgium. “We are committed to deliver quality products from our Changsha plant. Robust design, reliable quality and superior service level are the focal points that we concentrate on to win and maintain customers’ trust.” said Dr. Norman Roth, Regional President for Bosch Electrical Drives for Asia Pacific.
Bosch has invested approximately RMB 70 million (9 million euros) since 2004 in research and development efforts, capabilities, and competencies at the plant in Changsha. The plant utilizes automation technology in manufacturing to attain quality assurance. Spanning a total of 82,000 square meters, the plant currently employs 4,640 associates, and features a 2,400 square meter research and development lab with facilities designed after the Bosch plant in Belgium.
“At Bosch, we are dedicated to continuous improvement and innovative ideas in our products to optimize the driver’s experience,” said Dr. Roth. “Due to the integration of advanced German technology, extensive experience in design, high manufacturing quality since 1927 and a successful localization strategy, Asian drivers are able to purchase Bosch quality parts at affordable prices”.
Bosch vehicle safety campaign - “One Wrong Part Ruins Everything”
Launched earlier this year, Bosch Automotive Aftermarket’s “One Wrong Part Ruins Everything” campaign advocates safe driving with quality and reliable car parts in Asia. Targeted at the everyday driver, the campaign highlights potential dangers of underestimating the importance of quality in auto parts.
Ms. Wang Yufeng commented, "We would like vehicle drivers to be aware of how one wrong auto part can ruin everything. It is important for drivers to see the importance of placing quality above price in their selection of an aftermarket part. Vehicle owners and mechanics can count on Bosch, knowing that their choice is what’s best for their vehicle’s performance and safety”.
